Happy Spring, Happy Easter, happy WONDERFUL weather! Spring break is finally here for me and I am thrilled to start it out with some fun!

The ladies over at Halos and Horns Book Blog are having a contest today for BEST FALL FOR HER BOSS book and I was so excited to hear Trust in Advertising was in the competition with some other amazing books. It would me the world to me if you would quickly go visit them on Facebook and cast a vote for Trust in Advertising and our dear Vincent Drake. He doesn’t like to lose, as you can imagine.

From the desk for Vincent Drake:

Ladies, now I am not one to encourage people to get on social media during the workday, but Lexi has been jumping up and down since she heard and it’s impossible to get anything done at Hunter Advertising. She promises to calm down if I send this memo out so here it is. Please, I implore you, get on Facebook and visit the Halos and Horns book blog and vote for Trust in Advertising in their contest Best Fall for her Boss Book. Lexi and I would be eternally grateful and hopefully then everyone around here would be able to get back to work because we have a multi-million dollar television campaign that is wasting away from lack of attention. I believe Trust in Advertising is qualified for the title and has the exact qualifications the contest requires.

Thank you for your consideration,

Vincent Drake

How can you say no to that?

Here is the link to their Facebook page- https://www.facebook.com/halosandhornsbookblog?ref=stream The contest ends tonight so vote now!

They are awesome ladies and a lot of fun so a huge thanks to them for the support of me and my crazy books!!

I was floored and extremely flattered when I heard they wanted to do this. They’re covering three chapters a day and will be discussing them on Twitter at 9pm nightly. To see the schedule check out their site at http://literatiliteraturelovers.com/book-club/

The read-along starts tomorrow evening Monday, Sept. 10th and runs through Monday, Sept. 24th. I hear there might be some questions for me to answer too, so I’m going to be reading TiA again myself so I don’t look like a dork And who knows, I might just pop on Twitter sometime and join in the fun.

Huge thanks again to the ladies at Literati Literature Lovers for sharing Trust in Advertising with their book club. I hope you enjoy it!

I am thrilled to share the first review for Trust in Advertising.

Huge thanks to Jennie over at Random Chalk Talk for her awesome review on release day!

Jennie says:

I was lucky enough to be an early reader for this fantastic novel and I cannot sing its praises enough. Victoria Michaels has brought us yet another wonderfully written novel that captivates us from the very beginning. As with her other novel, I could not put this one down and was completely captivated by the story of two people who reconnected after so many years and found themselves within each other. Their lives, which were seemingly different from the outside looking in, were beautifully woven together through fantastic writing and fast paced drama, revelations, and a cute little girl who will do anything she can to make her uncle happy.

There are so many things to love about this novel that I can’t begin to list them all, but the fact that the characters are so very well written is key to this novel. Their spit fire dialogue and interaction makes them come alive with every turn of the page. Vincent comes across as an arrogant, selfish man but Lexi will have none of it and gladly calls him it many times. Vincent is dating the supermodel Jade whom you find it easy to hate for many reasons because she is written so well. It is hard to read a novel if the characters are not believable, but Michaels definitely has this craft under her belt and some authors could take a few pointers from her!

To read her full review click here:

And make sure you take some time to check out Random Chalk Talk. It’s full of great books, informative reviews, links and lots of fun!

Thanks again, Jennie!

I’m so incredibly proud of Trust in Advertising and I have to take a minute to thank the amazing people who helped me on this journey.

Huge thanks to everyone at Omnific for their support, their encouragement, and all their hard work on Trust. I’m so lucky to be surrounded by such a skilled team. Thank you for everything!

A few shout outs –

To Bev, my editor- I truly cannot thank you enough. You taught me so much, kept me sane, helped me cut things and not panic, and most of all because to helped make Trust something I’m so incredibly proud of that it brings tears to my eyes. (and I hate all that weepy stuff) Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

E- Thank you for giving me the chance to do this all again and believing in me and my writing. I appreciate all you have done for me and I love ya!

Micha- thanks for telling me to get my butt in gear, put myself out there and for telling me I’m not being annoying, even when I think I am

Emma – <3 You’ve been there since this was a little tiny seed in my head… a few words on a page that I sent you. Thank you for your undying friendship.

And Barb, where do I begin? You are the wind beneath my wings, the song in my heart, the smile on my face. You gave it to me straight, even when it was hard to hear, you pushed me to be the best I could be and you loved this story as much as I did. The cover is amazing, the book layout is perfection. But most of all, your friendship means the world to me and I adore you. Thank you…. a million times, thank you.

To the Thursday night ladies, and you know who you are- I love ya, thanks for all the laughs and support even way back when!! You rock!

Okay, before I get all weepy or start posting cheesy videos or something, I’ll say goodnight.

I appreciate the support from everyone and I’m truly humbled by the kindness and well wishes. I’m going to drink an appletini in celebration of tonight’s release and send a giant kiss to all of you!!

MWAH

Thank you everyone!!

<3

V

I can’t wait to hear what you think of TiA

So, over the last few days I’ve been giving little bits of this and little bits of that to set the stage for Trust in Advertising. Leigh, if you haven’t figured it out, is the executive secretary for Hunter Advertising and the go-to person for Vincent when he needs a, shall we say, ‘dissolution of employment’ with his assistants. She kindly offers them a shoulder to cry on, a tissue, and a token for the parking garage, then sends them on their merry way.

In his defense, there are a multitude of reason that Vincent’s new assistants don’t always work out. It’s not always his fault. Sometimes there’s a horrifyingly vile creature – a hellacious harpy – that shreds them and has them heading for the hills…

How bad can she be? You’ll have to see for yourself!

Thanks to everyone who has signed up for the Goodreads Giveaway of Trust in Advertising already, I can’t believe the response so far. And thank you to everyone who has put TiA on their to-be-read shelves, I can’t wait for you to read it. Not much longer now!

More fun to come tomorrow…

Summary:

Lexi White finds herself at a crossroads. After putting everything on hold to care for her ailing father, it’s finally time for her to start living her life again. An exciting new job holds the promise of a fresh start, until she comes face to face with someone from her past who has always stopped her dead in her tracks, and who evidently still has the power to make her forget her own name. This time around, Lexi’s a grown woman who refuses to back away from her dreams, even if it requires working with her old high school crush. Side by side. Every day. Will he end up being her downfall or exactly what she needs?

Vincent doesn’t even remember Lexi from high school, but he begins to take notice when the fiery young woman is hired as his new assistant. Quickly, Lexi turns his world upside down and becomes an invaluable addition not only to his team, but to his life. Having learned a few hard lessons about trust in the past, Vincent is reluctant to let down his guard, especially when it appears that someone is out to sabotage his family’s advertising agency. Professionally, they are dynamite together, but when sparks fly between them personally, will Vincent let lies and jealousy ruin everything between them, or will he finally learn not only how to love, but ultimately trust…in advertising?

Victoria Michaels once again delivers a can’t-put-it-down novel loaded with engaging characters, cheeky dialogue, and powerful emotions. Trust in Advertising is a cleverly woven tale about two people getting to know each other and ultimately themselves.

~**~

A number of you wondered if that was the actual cover for Trust in Advertising on the website and I’m happy to say, YES! The cover was designed by the same brilliant woman who created the Boycotts & Barflies cover and she knows how much I adore and cherish her and her friendship. MWAH!

I have some fun things planned for the next few days as we draw closer to the release date. On Sunday night, I’m going to post a couple new tidbits I came up with that I think help show who Vincent is and where he is in his life when Lexi walks through his door and turns his world upside down. Poor Lexi has no idea what she’s getting herself into…

As always, thank you for the messages, comment and emails. I know I sound like a broken record, but I really do appreciate you taking the time to say hi or share what you’re thinking. I can honestly say- you crack me up!

I’m so excited to share this book with everyone and hope you’ll come back on Sunday to see what’s coming next.

Have a great weekend!
